Hi guys! This has been a long time coming, but I’m officially moving the Contrary Polish blog to www.contrarypolish.com/blog/, rather than trying to maintain both my standalone site and the Blogger site.
There may be some functionality issues with the older posts I’ve imported (example: references to a sidebar will no longer apply), but hopefully there are no major issues. If you see any you think are a concern, please let me know!
Mini bottle orders will still work the same as they did in the past; the only difference is instead of viewing the blog sidebar for details on how to order, there is now a separate page for mini bottle orders.
Thanks for reading, and please let me know if you have any questions!

Weekend Sale: To Dye For + Full-Size Bottles
Hi everyone!
The response last weekend so positive that I’d like to offer another weekend sale of full-size and mini bottles, including the new To Dye For collection. Prices will be the same this weekend: To Dye For collex is $9 for full-size and $4.50 for minis, and everything else is $10 for full-size and $5 for minis.
One note: I have my hands full with several stockist orders, so these orders won’t ship until late next week.
Please see the sidebar for details on how to place an order.
Thanks so much!

Swatches/Sale: To Dye For
Full-Size Sale
Some of my customers have been asking me about selling full-size bottles directly, so here we go! From now through Sunday night, I’ll be taking orders for both full-size and mini bottles. These orders will ship next week in the order received. The prices, available colors, and details on how to place an order are listed in the sidebar. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me at contrarypolish@gmail.com.
New Collection: To Dye For
Now that the sale talk is out of the way... I have new colors to offer! This collection is a little different than what you probably expect from me: 8 of the 9 colors are completely shimmer-free. (I know, crazy!) ;) Because of this, I do not plan on adding these new shades to the core collection. However, if there is more interest in a shimmer-free Contrary than I anticipated, I’d be happy to bring certain colors back based on demand. :)
The new collection is called To Dye For and it was inspired by the tradition of dying eggs for Easter. Specifically, it was inspired by the deep colors of the dye baths compared with the lighter colors of the finished eggs. It consists of four jellies (the dyes) and four cremes (the eggs) in pink, blue, purple, and green. The jellies are opaque in 2-3 coats and the cremes are opaque in 1-2 coats. Since I didn’t have to factor in shimmer visibility, I really concentrated on making the formulas as smooth and user-friendly as possible.
To top the collection off (literally!), I have a sheer shimmer polish that goes well with all eight cremes/jellies. This topper is called Something Egg-stra and it consists of pink, blue, purple, and green shimmer in a clear base. All of the shimmer is of the color-shifting variety, and it varies in size from extra fine to larger glass flecks. Since the polish is filled with multi-colored shimmer, it registers as contrasting shimmer no matter which base you choose to wear under it.
This weekend only, these new shades will be offered at a reduced rate: full-size bottles at $9 each and mini bottles at $4.50 each.

Something Egg-stra was very hard to photograph, so I took way too many pictures trying to capture the shimmer/sparkle. :)
